Team USA continues preparation for 2024 Olympics
LAS VEGAS -- Team USA overcame a 16-point deficit to beat South Sudan 101-100 in an exhibition game on Monday.
Team USA trailed by as many as 16 points in the second quarter, but stormed back with a massive third quarter to take a 10-point lead. South Sudan, the youngest nation playing international basketball, came back to tie the game in the fourth quarter, but Team USA held on for the win.
Jalen Brunson led Team USA with 22 points, followed by Jayson Tatum with 20 points and Donovan Mitchell with 19 points.
The win was a much-needed one for Team USA, which is preparing for a run at a fifth straight gold medal in men's basketball at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
